We want to make sure everyone has a cushion that aligns beautifully with their body and their lifestyle. At basaho we offer three styles of cushion.

The Classic is the quintessential, traditional Eastern cushion that’s suitable for everyone from beginner to expert.

The Crescent is ideal for those who struggle to sit comfortably, as it’s ergonomically designed to support your thighs and reduce back pressure.

Finally, The Wheel is ideal for taller meditators or those who find flexibility a challenge, as it's elevated.

The short answer is wherever you feel is best.

The slightly longer answer is: We know that sometimes getting onto the cushion is the biggest challenge, so it can be helpful to place it in a spot you will see it each day. This way, the cushion reminds you to make time to meditate. You could even set up a peaceful meditation corner with candles and a journal for any enlightening thoughts.

Our lovely cushion covers are crafted from 100% organic cotton that has been ethically and sustainably sourced in Southern India. They’re filled with buckwheat hulls, a natural by-product that moulds around your body like a supportive cloud.

Of course! The organic cotton we use is grown in Southern India and is designed to eliminate toxic chemicals from the environment. Cotton is one of the thirstiest crops on the planet, so we source from a rain-fed area to minimise pressure on local water supplies.

We are OCS-certified (Organic Content Standard), an independent stamp of approval that ensures strict sustainability standards within the whole production chain. This means we only work with suppliers who are certified too, guaranteeing our organic promise.

The natural cork in our yoga blocks is sustainably sourced in Portugal, and the filling in our meditation mats is crafted from recycled fabrics.

All farmers and experts who spin our cotton and stitch our products are paid a fair living wage. The factories our machinists work in are held to a rigorous set of safe working regulations.

Our cushion covers are machine washable and the buckwheat hulls are contained within a zipped inner lining. In fact, if you prefer, you can personalise your cushion to your body, by releasing some of the filling.

At basaho.com, we accept all major debit and credit cards, including American Express. You can also pay using Google Pay, Apple Pay, Paypal, Diners Club, and Shop Pay. Our payments are handled by Shopify.

We send orders above £20 on their merry way by courier. If you place your order before 1pm, it’ll be delivered the very next day, in time for your evening meditation session. Orders below £20 will be sent by Royal Mail and arrive within 1-2 working days.

We’re pleased to offer free shipping on orders over £40. For orders under £40, there is a delivery charge of £3.95.

At the moment, basaho.com only ships within the UK. However, our products are available on Amazon in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden and Poland. We’re hoping to offer international delivery to basaho.com customers soon!

Yes, we have a 30-day refund policy, which means you have 30 days to request a return by emailing hello@basaho.com.To be eligible for a refund, your cushion must be in the same condition it arrived in, and you’ll need the receipt or proof of purchase. Return shipping is on us; we’ll send you a prepaid shipping label to use.

We’ll notify you once we receive your return and let you know if it’s accepted or not. If so, you’ll be refunded via your original purchase method.

The easiest way to do this is to request a return and once it’s accepted, place a new order. This is the quickest way to get back to your practice!

If we’ve made a mistake with your order or your cushion arrived damaged or defective, contact us straight away by emailing hello@basaho.com. We’ll investigate the issue and make it right.

Yes, we do. If you’re planning to make an order of 10 or more basaho items, just send us a message at hello@basaho.com and we’ll be happy to help.
